Need help tuning the boxster
I've spent some time reading the code from my 986 Boxster 2.5l
I have found many tables / maps and now I need help understanding what I am looking at. The ECU/DME used in the 2.5l boxster is a Bosch Motronic M5.2.2 it's surprisingly similar to the older OBD1 DME used in older Porsche and BMWs. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1586638681.jpg This is the fuel map, at least one of them. I've processed it a bit so it can be readable. I'm not 100% sure that it is a fuel map but I used formulas from older Bosch DMEs. In the map we can see two spikes going into two different directions. Granted they're exaggerated. Can someone shine some light on why it's tuned like that? Help me understand what I'm looking at. I got a lot more tables I can show off. |

So, I assume that is calculated load, AFR and RPM? Interesting.

How many other maps have you found? Please find the immobilizer bit values! I expect the odd roll in the map at ~4500 is tuning for the Variocam kicking in. Keep it up, this is how all the BMW ECU's made their way to the light of day. |
