Rear Brake Problem

Driving home last night .Felt the rear brakes dragging .Started to smell hot pulled off the free way .Tried to apply brake pedal no brakes . Both rear calipers and rotors are shot . What would cause both my rear calipers to lock up on the disc ? Had to limp my way home using the emergency brake to stop . Really could use some advice on where to look for root cause? Thank you all

Never heard of this. I guess you need to rebuild the callipers , swap out the disks and flush the fluid. Either a blockage in the fluid line are rusted/seized callipers would be my guess.

Check the brake master cylinder and ABS system. Those are both upstream to both sides of the rear brakes.
