Blue Driver ODB2

I recently purchased a Blue Driver ODB2 scan device for checking CEL issues. It works well with my phone but I was wondering how to see if my vehicle (2002 boxster s) has ever received a DME performance upgrade. I'm not sure if this device is powerful enough to check.

As pwave noted. Generic OBD readers will give you only generic codes and no advanced functions. There are a few more $$ readers Durametric, Autel, etc that do read the Porsche specific codes and have advanced Porsche specific function.
'
'That being said, the elcheapo readers are a little usefiull

I'll receive the Durametric today and this above sounds interestig... Will Duramertic tell the DME upgrades as well? If yes, I'll try to figure out that as well - any avice would be most welcome for searching this possible DME upgrade case out with Durametric?
