Retainer spring for ebrake

Do the 2.5, 2.7 share the same ebrake parts as the 3 2 boxster s? One of my retainer springs broke. Wow they are hard to find and not cheap.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1576744720.jpg

I found it online. 3.2 springs are different (per the shop I got them from).

Yes but they are light duty, find that out the hard way practicing J-turn parking!

Have fun replacing those!

But seriously, good luck, re-assembling those is probably the worst project I've done on my '02.

I had my son do it. It was a great teaching opportunity. Tapping the caliper threads and replacing the springs, we were out $29 and the car wasn't in some shop for ever. Back on the road. Can't wait for Christmas. He has several goodies under the tree for the boxster.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1577130281.jpg

That's awesome you've got your son involved. I miss those days. My twins helped me restore an old bim, and that was very rewarding. They'll be 29 next month.

Thank you for the memories.

It's even more fun if you pull out the E-brake cables.
