Key won't lock car, remote works fine
 

My 2005 Boxster door key won't unlock the car, while the remote works fine. I've seen a video about the 986 where a small metal part bought for $5 on ebay is used to fix the problem.
Does anybody know of a fix for the 987 similar to that 986 video as I would rather not buy a whole new door latch mechanism?
