Installed new engine. Now no electrical power. I’m stumped

I just finished swapping a replacement motor in, went to crank it over after taking the battery off of the charger and turning the key I have no electrical power at all. No lights turn on, nothing. It’s like there’s no battery installed at all. I’ve checked and rechecked everything I’m not sure what I did. I know it could be anything but any ideas?

Check your current distributor fuses.

Great thanks! I’ve searched and searched and can’t figure out how to access this thing. I know it’s on the bulk head, do I access it from the airbag cover?

The current distributor may be accessible behind/below the HVAC fan unit. Airbag? We die like real men - Delete it. AC and Heat is for the weak. Just pull all that stuff out. ;)

Looking thru the airbag space at the white plastic box:

Looking a little upward below the dash:

Haha, thanks man. The airbags went loooong ago. It’s a fully caged car so hopefully the crash bar under the dash isn’t screwing me here. Thanks for the info! I’m crawling in.

The torque specs for the connections should be stamped on the inner lid. Use new hardware.

False alarm, turns out the relay box in the trunk was unplugged. No idea why. The engine started right up but is leaking oil like hell and has a power steering leak. Still progress! Thanks again for your help
