Urethane Transaxle Mounts - Good?

Anyone have these?

If so, what do you think?

Those are interesting to me, as well. However they don't list any for the 986. Are the 987 units similar enough?

I think they are, I have the Wevo version on my Boxster and I plan to move them to my Cayman when I get a chance, according to the Tarett site (where I got them) they are compatible:

You can also remove the hydraulic fluid in the OE mount and fill with poly. For even more firmness fill with poly around the stud the other side too.

Glad this came up. Just did that tonight. I'll hope to install the motor tomorrow, then. ;-)

I looked into these, they’re only $80-$100 a pair which is good, but you need $100+ worth of Porsche bolts to make them work, so they are about $200 for the set up. So, the urethane ones are only about $70 more, so I’m thinking those might be the way to go.

no sir. You need roughly $15 worth of porsche washers and another $15 from www.boltdepot.com for the bolts.

porsche bolts are nothing special. If i was more than $115 into my tranny mounts, i'd be surprised.

I also have the Wevo units. They do transmit a higher level of vibration to the chassis than the stock mounts. I can see the vibrations in my side mirror.

Sir, they have the "P" on them. Clearly that is worth something.
