It did not adapt well to a larger 997 diverter tee and 74mm TB.

This was with a Softronic tune? I was under the impression when I talked to them, that the tune would take into account the mods you have as you tell them what mods you have done? Maybe I misunderstood the guy when I was talking to him?

Well KRAM36,.I guess I didn't really mean only quick and easy, the intake Mod I understand is not easy but that is more doable for me,Than say changing out the Cams, But if paying 900.00 for a softronic upgrade along with a Airbox/Intake system and I can gain 20/25 HP or better Torque numbers than that is worth it , Hell my 92' Subaru SVX engine( going in a 914) was rated at 230 HP and I think 230 Lbs of torque, but with new larger injectors and a ECU upgrade they claimed 260 plus the card is about 325.00 and what ever the injectors would cost and it was a proven 30-40 hp gain,..I sure wish that could be done on the 2.7 ! :D

Yes. At the time, the product was standard across the board for all 3.2 customers. There weren’t any updates that I was aware of. Custom tunes are a different story.

These are solely my impressions of throttle response, the old but dyno, pull, and engine acceleration vs the stopwatch from 3K to 5000. At 5000 plus the cockpit of my car is too manic to discern anything.

Oh yes, very doable. It takes a lot of time to do the job and one bolt in the intake runner you have to remove is a complete PITA to get to. With all my mods on the stock tune I'm up 30 HP when I use an online calculator with my 0 to 60 MPH time, car weight and auto trans. Allowing the 3.2 to breath better wakes this engine up big time. I just don't know how a 2.7 will fair with these mods and I don't think a complete air intake upgrade would get you 20 HP extra. Maybe someone with a 2.7 that has done this mod will chime in.

And that's why I asked to see if it can be done to a 2.7 ,But I also figured that the ECU upgrades gotta be worth something but,.these days kinda pricey for the return for a base box,.!!
