Clutch vibration
 

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this problem, when moving off from a stationery position I am feeling a slight vibration/shaking especially at low revs, sometimes feeling the same as I change into second, my initial thoughts where the clutch is about to die - I had a similar problem with my subaru turbo, I found out the problem there was due to moisture getting into the clutch after a few shifts the problem would go away, anyone else had a similar experience? :confused:

Lewbo, we need more info about your car. Year, mileage and etc.

Could be engine mounts??

Yeh sorry forgot the important info:- 2001 Boxster S, 68,000 KM'S, 18" GT3 rims, factory aero kit, Porsche super sound exhaust, you could be right about the mounts, when you they usually give up?

I think its the engine mount. I own a 98 Box and the mount went bad, while driving or shifting I could sometimes feel the pedals move and vibrate. The Engine Mount isn't that expensive, and it's not that difficult of a job to do. If you plan on doing it yourself which would save you a lot of cash, bling!!!, medallions, or whatever you want to call it, make sure to tighten bolts to specified torque. Its not just a screwing it until it doesn't move anymore!!!. Also make sure you get the new type mount, it has a metal plate at opposite ends. The part number is 986 375 023 05 its called Motor console on the PET program.

Could be your engine mount BUT its more likely that your flywheel is warped, when they get warped they will jitter or chatter when engauging until they are fully engauged....you can either machine it smooth or buy a new one....change your rms while your at it.
