.5qt sump extension - correct oil level?

Just to confirm, after I install my .5qt sump and oil pickup extensions, I continue to run at my current indicated oil level (usually the top two or three bars on the indicator blank). If I understand correctly how the level is measured, i’ll have ~.5 quart more oil in the sump at any given measurement (with .5qt additional at oil change). Correct??

Thanks in advance.

Yes, oil is measured from top down, so just put in .5qt to get to same level
