What should I pay

Looking at a 01 Boxster S,.80.500 K miles,.chain rattle on cold start,disfigured gauge face,loose interior parts and 1 little plastic piece missing,top and windows worked just fine,..they want 9990.00,..no IMS history and no Maint.history. ???

How hard is it to replace the chain tensioner's,.?? Thanks Frank

Not a penny more than $4500. There are thousands of others for sale right now, And prices only drop during the winter months.

There are two in the salt lake city metro area right now, under $6k, no issues. One has ims solution. Other didn't mention ims.

Hmmm.... good catch! I didn't actually look at the details tab. It makes me wonder if the other one (that seems to have sold already) was as well.

They were both the cheapest "s" I've seen locally. But ragtops tend to get very cheap around here this time of year, haha.

Do the research - You get what you pay for.
If they are that cheap (under $5k) for under 100k miles, better have a really knowledgeable mechanic in your back pocket to check it out - PPI

It been said many times, the most expensive Porsche is usually the cheapest to buy.
You don't have to buy the most expensive but you better know what you're getting into buying the cheapest.
