Bosch vs Porsche MAF

Is there a difference between a Bosch MAF and a Porsche MAF (other than price)? Anyone ever encounter a defective Bosch MAF ordered on Amazon?

Porsche doesn't make sensors, including MAFs.

OEM is Bosch.

In Pelican I see a Bosch MAF for $239.75, and a Porsche MAF for $557.50. Any idea what's the difference?

one has a 'B', the other has a 'P', "R' and an 'E'. that's two extra letters. using math, that equals about $160 per letter.

Porsche tax.

Porsche doesn't make MAFs.
Pelican may just order it from Porsche, but it's still going to be a Bosch MAF with both a Bosch and Porsche part # stamped on it.

FYI: you can get the exact same Bosch MAF from Autozone, Advance, OReilly's, etc. for about $165...even less if you shop around online.

A table of Bosch to Porsche part numbers cross referenced is at this site. Towards the bottom.
