Alternator question

Quick question say I happened to not disconnect my battery when installing an alternator and the hot lead made contact with housing and made some sparks. Would this blow a fuse any where? Just wondering because the alternator I put in is my old one that just needed a new clutch pulley. I got it back in, now I'm getting a battery light on dash.

That lead goes straight to the battery and does not pass through any fusible links.

Have the battery and charging system tested. You may have killed the regulator (or it was just bad).

Ok I tested the alternator lead I am getting juice. I think the voltage regulator on the alternator is bad. Thanks for the feedback.

Replaced regulator and it now works
