Battery question

After working on my '02 a lot, I've been having intermittent starting problems, like it starts once and then not again. I disconnected the battery from the car and charged it until it read 13v. I left it disconnected from the car and charger for 24 hours and it now reads 12.7v. Is that normal or indicative of a failing battery? Auto Zone tested it before this and said it was still good but needed charging.

12.7 is full voltage for a 12v battery. that should not be your issue unless you have a bad cell. If AZ load tested it and it passed, I would look to something else as your problem.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know whether it would drain like that healthy.
