P1023 Fuel Pressure quantity too low at start

Hope you follks don't mind me posting this 981 question in the 986 forum. There is so much expertise here, thought I would give it a try.

My 981 Boxster is having slow start problems. I hooked up my Autel and pulled the following code:

"P1023 Fuel Pressure quantity too low at start"

Did a search an Rennlist came back with a hit on High Pressure Fuel pump may need repair/replace. Do I need to measure fuel pressure and compare to standard? Didn't really see any troubleshooting info in the 981 Workshop Manual

Has anyone any experience with this error code?

Thanks
Al
