Anybody use a Spitfire tuning chip for their boxter?

I have a friend who told me recently that he bought a performance chip that plugs right into his boxter's obdII port. He has been raving about this little chip and said he paid under $60.00 for it. He and I yesterday tested car, seat of the pants test yesterday with chip in and without. I will tell you that the car seems to shift smoother and is a little more brisk off the line. He has a tiptronic trans. What do you guys think? Ger.

Waste of time and money.

They sell a lot to the turbo Audi crowd...it tricks the computer / piggy backs to adjust ratios or something. Not sure anyone has dynoed after installation.

There's a lot of "seat of the pants" dyno reports though lol.

Meh...not a proper tune.

Doubt it does anything for a NA car that you'd notice.
