Oil bars keeps blinkin 986 from 2003 2.7
Hello to everybody out there,
On my Porsche Boxter 2.7 from 2003 , the oil level bars keeps blinking until they go out. But they never show the oil level. Of course I checked the oil level and that is ok. I changed already the Oil pressure thing, but without result. It looks like it is maybey cockpit related. I must say that the car was attacked by a mouse or something because we had to repair some wiring wich was chewed on. Anybody suggestions ?? |

I believe that the oil pressure sensor (the one you replaced) and the oil level sensor are different ones, not 100% sure but I also believe that the oil level sensor is towards the front of the 4-6 bank (behind the driver seat). |

Oil level sensor is going to be bear to get to.
If I remember correctly it is in the center of the engine and was about 18" long. I had a similar issue. The gauge wouldn't show the oil level correctly. It ended up being the gauge cluster that needed to be repaired. I sent it to Qumulus to fix. |
