Rev needle loose - doesn't work

Took my gauges apart to start the LED conversion when I realised that when pushing my rev needle back on it suddenly had no friction behind it and could spin freely. Tested it and, sure enough, rev counter doesn't work anymore.

Before I buy a new set of clocks, I'm guessing that there's nowt I can do to fix this?

It is easy to damage the gauge motors by removing the needles. You can often put the gear back together properly by carefully disassembling the gauge motor. Sorry, I don't any pictures. I do have some new gauge motors for them, which requires some soldering to install.

Ah, quite fiddly then. Have bought some new ones which are dot-matrix, so an upgrade over mine anyway. Nice to know it could be repaired though, will have a look at it and if I can fix it I'll just sell them.

Thanks
