Tire size

I am getting ready to go to 18" wheels. The fronts will be 8". I know the standard tire size is 225/40. I am trying to decide if a 235/40 or a 245/40 would be ok maybe even a 245/35. My concern is the 245/40 will be too tall (about 3%). Anyone doing these sizes? Thoughts?

Thanks
Bob

245/40/18 is too tall to clear the stock suspension but a lot of folks run that size with pss9 and other coilovers that have a small lower spring perch.

THanks that is the info I needed. So I should stick to 225/235.

I think Marvin aka swiftmotoring runs a 235/40/17 up front with the stock front struts, I can find out for sure Friday when I see him.

The wheels are 44et and the fitment guide says more space for the suspension with the 235/40

A 245/35 is actually a little shorter (about .8%) and also gives more suspension room than stock
