How Much Oil is Used?
 

Hi all, I have close to 4,000 miles since my last oil change and based on the dipstick and dash readout on my 2000 Boxster I may have used almost half a quart. I have been running the engine pretty hard, maybe hard in not the word, with spirit. Is it normal for the engines to use some oil between changes?

Sounds normal to me. Make sure you add-back the 1/2 quart.

Yes that is certainly normal.

Yup sounds right. I've put on about 8000 miles since the 30k change, and the electronic oil meter is just now showing down 1 bar.
