2003 Boxster S Tiptronic linkage issue.

Today I was driving my car and when I put the car into park the shift rod on the transmission that changes the gears pulled out of the plastic linkage. I'm having a hard time finding a diagram on these parts, so I'm not sure what actually holds the rod into the plastic linkage. If any of you have had this issue or can shed some light on how the rod is held in place it would be much appreciated. I included a reference picture of the rod and plastic linkage where they came apart with a red circle.

Thank you.

Sweet! Thank you Monty.

I wonder what kind of JB weld epoxy?

Need the car going until the part comes in, so I'll have to do the JB weld epoxy as a temp fix until then.

EDIT: Wish he had given a part number.

Nice Monty!

I was looking in the Transmission section on every site and couldn't find it.

Having the part number I got it ordered.

Thank You!
