Charcoal canister removal (plug the line?)

Those of you that have pulled the charcoal canister to save weight what did you do about the lines? Did you plug them?

haven't done it yet, but from what i've gleaned there are three lines:

- to gas tank - let hang in fender well to vent tank.
- vent to rear of car - remove.
- to purge valve and subsequently to intake - remove and plug at intake. removing valve will give a cel.
