Missing at low RPMs

My car started missing at idle, just pulling out or at very low RPM while driving. As soon as I get above 3k it smooths out and runs great. Come to a stop and while idling it huffs and puffs. This happens in any gear if I am lugging around, idling, or just trying to pull off smoothly from a stop light or whatever. Any ideas?

loose coil pack wire? bad plug? codes?

No codes as yet, but I suspect there will be some soon. I can keep it running smoothly by keeping my foot in the throttle a bit, even when parking. But if I don't, it will miss badly. I haven't taken the cover off yet. It just started this morning and I wasn't really sure what to check. The coil pack or wire could be a good place to start though. Perhaps with quicker spark it works normally. Tnx

Vacuum leak. At idle a leak has a greater effect than at higher airflow rates. Lean condition causes misfire.

Thanks Monty! That makes perfect sense
