Redstuff for the track? Forgeddaboudit!

Labelled as "trackable street pads", the ecb Redstuff pads caused me major grief at the track. Check my posts "shakey brakey" in the racing section for the details.
However, the "Yellowstuff" pads from this company held up very nicely over the past two days running hard and hot! It remains to be seen if they will continue to perform nicely at the track, but the other benefit is that they aren't squealing around town. (there, I've jinxed it!).

Interesting that changing the pads took care of the problem. I'll probably end up ditching my Reds.

How are the Yellows in normal driving?

Just fine but much more dust!

I used Reds and got a long pedal. Switched to Pagid Orange for the track. Much better.

+ 1 on the Pagid Orange,

Unfortunately they will start squeeling like pigs on the road and every time you stop at a red light everyone will be looking at you.. :p

I used redstuff for my first year tracking. As I became more skilled (?) and pushed the car more I switched to yellowstuff. The only issue I had was once with redstuff on a faster track and towards the end of once session with a lot of hard braking, I started to get a little pedal fade.

RedStuff is a great street and AX pad

I've found that EBC YellowStuff and Pagid Orange provide about the same braking performance but the YellowStuff doesn't squeal while the Orange seem to last a bit longer. Choose your poison. :)

Can you share the part numbers for the Orange pads? I've never found a set of oranges that fit the base brakes. thanks
