2000 Tiptronic engine to replace 2000 manual engine

Hello all

As the title states I am wondering if I will have a problem installing an engine out of a 2000 tip in my 2000 manual? I have read a few threads with differing opinions. Just looking for a little more insight before I purchase the engine I am looking at.

Thanks

Simple answer is yes, the engine blocks are interchangeable, but there are some peripheral items that must be swapped from one to the other.
A few years ago I swapped an 01 manual 2.7 into a Tiptronic 2.7. I detailed the differences in a couple threads since then. Nothing major as long as you have parts from your original to swap to the replacement. Vacuum lines are a little different including the brake booster vacuum. Engine wire harness needs to be swapped. Intake tubing was slightly different. Alternator and starter have slight differences, but are functionally interchangeable. Probably a couple other minor things I can't recall.
