So you've changed over the transmissions, but not updated any of the wiring or swapped to the newer relay, right?
You know in the old system there's 2 inputs, one from the lever at the rear, and one from the microswitch near the top mounting/pivot point on the drivers side. Did you maybe have the top open or in the service position when you tried closing it so it wasn't hitting this switch? |

Just noticed on your welcome post that you also picked up an updated glass roof. Did you also have that fitted currently? If so, the new roofs don't have the arm that presses the microswitch mentioned above, which will be the issue. If you have the new roof on you need to do the wiring and relay updates, as well.... Or just rip it all out and go manual as you are planning I guess.

My only concern with manual operation of the clamshell is that it doesn't sit flush when the roof is down, and rigging up a hood latch might be a bit of a pain. I think I'll try a Quick Latch, mounted at the centre of the clamshell on the trailing edge. I should be able to use the roof motor bracket to locate the pin.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9e700ad94.jpeghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...02c3255456.png

I went with the 1" aluminum version. We'll see how it works, and I may change it up for a locking one in the future. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
