Transmission bolt question?

Hello. 986. Am a total Porsche newbie. So please be patient. I bought my
First Porsche. That I think was a good deal. The clutch is fried. The previous owner told me it went out and the car just sat for a few months. I got everything out to replace the clutch but had to ruin the 12 point bolt on the bottom left side of the trans. Does anyone know the specks. On this bolt or where to get one? Thanks if you can help out. I searched the site but found nothing. Its a 98 boxster, 5 speed.

I'd give our resident Boxster breaker a call. His name is Woody, goes by Itsnotanova on here. Do a search. He'll take care of you.

Link to his thread.

Replace it with a standard hex head bolt and save the next person that has to pull the trans some headache. :)

Called a tripple square. Allot of auto part stores will have a 4 pc set with hex ends. You'll need to cut it off with about 1/2" of the hex left. Then turn it with a box end wrench. Mine says 10mm
