Tighten the plugs. Most likely the cause.

Read post #12 in the thread I have attached. Mr. Raby describes a squeak from excessive vacuum through the main seal from a failed AOS. I would think this could be verified by attempting to pull your oil cap with engine running. Since vacuum is greatest at idle and drops with RPM could be the cause. Location is also appropriate. Good Luck.

Did I toast the engine?

This is another good one. I'm feeling pretty good about the loose plug, the car also has a new exhaust leak from one cylinder (I thought it was from the headers( but I bet it's the plug). Crazy....

Hi guys, I started hearing a chirping noise when car isn’t driven for a couple of days. Noise disappears after 10 to 15 seconds. Noise still present with belt removed. Anyone resolved this problem? Thanks

Very common cause for that in these cars is a slightly loose spark plug. It starts chirping (kind of like a littel bird) usually when the engine heats up a bit.

Thanks, I hear the noise on cold start for 10 to 15 seconds and then it stops. Thanks for your thoughts.

Verified the spark plugs today and found a loose one let’s hope that was the cause of the noise. Thanks for your help very appreciated, all the best to you from Canada
