Use of brake parts cleaner with disposable gloves
Hey guys,
For anyone who likes to use brake parts cleaner, but finds it eats disposable gloves too quickly, just wanted to pass along that I found that Brakleen- / NAPA-branded chlorinated brake parts cleaner lasted me a whole brake job through one set of nitrile gloves! With standard non-chlorinated brake parts cleaner, which I believe has a high amount of acetone in it (or any other solvent with acetone on it), I found they will always swell and weaken nitrile gloves in a short number of minutes, if not seconds. So I was pretty excited to find a really effective, fast-evaporating metal cleaning solvent that can used with disposable gloves! The below picture shows specific combination of products used: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1486435354.jpg |
