Front Trunk not opening
 

Have a 2001 S and I can't get the front trunk open. I noticed that the light on the lever switch on the floor is not illuminated for the front, but is for the boot and that works fine. When I pull the front nothing happens. I tried locking and unlocking with the key and that didn't fix it.

Any help is appreciated :)

Mine is a 2000S with the cable instead of electric latch but maybe someone can point you to the correct fuse to check.

Can always contact the PO to see if he can shed some light. There is also an emergency release cable that runs behind front bumper toward the passenger side tail light. Not sure how you might access it unless it has been routed to the front tow hook.

Fortunately my emergency cable was routed behind the tow hook so I can open it without any trouble.

I talked to the previous owner and he said he issues intermittently but when I test drove it and picked it up it worked fine. I tried the lock/unlock trick but no lock. It would seem to be electrical given that the light isn't illuminated on the switch.
