I just had my cluster apart and pulled the boards and the LCD out. Nothing to it really. You might be able to fix it simply by pulling the cluster apart, disconnecting the ribbon cables, reconnecting them and reassembling the cluster. If you have never disconnected an old school ribbon cable the ones in your cluster work like the example in this video:

Well I took it out again. Tore it all the way down and even inspected the back of the PC board to see if there were any cracks in it with a magnifying glass. Didn't see anything put it all back together again put in the car and it worked for a little while. Then everything went black and now it just intermittently goes completely dead with no LEDs and no gauges and half a second later comes back on. So I don't know what else I can do except get ahold of some of the guys below and either have my cluster fixed or get another one. My concern is that I get one with about the same mileage or repair the one I've got and hopefully there's nothing wrong with the cables coming in from under the dash. Thanks for the advice and I am pondering my situation.
