BOXSTER S engine and 911 tiptronic swap to VW T3 vanagon

Hi I looking for advice and ideas about my project.
I want to put PORSCHE 986 BOXSTER S engine and 911 996 Carrera 2 tiptronic gearbox to my VW T3 Vanagon. It is necessary to use 911 transmission because in VW engine is behind the rear wheel location.
I bought 2002 Boxster S with tiptronic after accident and Porsche Carrera 2 tiptronic gearbox from 2000 year to do this project. At now all project is waiting in garage so I decide to find some information on this forum.
After chat with few people we are worry about Porsche tiptronic ECU. We don't know yet which gearbox ECU use should it be from 911 or Boxster S?

If you think can be others problems feel free to tell about this here.
All yours advice are welcome and I will be grateful for your interest.

I thought the smart people do the Subaru EJ25 conversion ?
Sell the Boxster S stuff to finance it?
Lots on You tube and elsewhere for the EJ25 conversion

Without doing any research, my gut says use the 911 transmission ECU since it is programmed for the transmission that you plan to use.

My gut also says that you should look at all of the electrical signals (inputs/outputs) between the Boxster engine ECU and the 996 transmission controller to make sure that all of the signals match up like they do in their respective cars.

There is a chance that the Boxster engine has some different signals than the 996 engine to/from the transmission. If not, then its plug and play. If so, you will have to figure out how to replicate the missing signals so it all works when you're done.

I have nothing to add to this, but the other day I was walking by a Vanagon, and noticed the huge front rotors and large calipers. My interest was instantly piqued, so I gave the bus a once-over. Turns out it has a Chevy LS 5.3 liter V8! The exhaust was pretty big, so I looked underneath it, and sure enough, there was a V8 crammed in there! I bet it really perked that thing up.
