Headlight compatibility

Hi,
I am looking to replace the headlights on my 986 produced in Germany for the European market. Unfortunately Bosch has discontinued the headlights, which I currently have installed, and I have therefore turned my attention towards some headlights from Automative Lightning. The retailer has told me that these headlights are US-type and I therefore curious to know if US-type headlights are compatible with my Euro-type 986? Do anyone have experience or knowledge regarding this?
Thanks.

the difference between the US and the Euro version is not in the fitment, but in the lens shape.so if you do not need to pass a yearly test, you should have no issue using the US version
this way or the other, if you are planning on getting new headlights, Hella makes them as well, and the best price i found is on Ebay, from Latvia.
so it might even be Euro style lens.

Thanks Meir.

I will see if I can find a bit more information on the EU vs US type lenses and if that posses an issue. Regarding the link inserted, it appears to be Automative Lightning as well, but thanks for the effort - much appreciated.
