I know, another IMS story
Here is a link from the PCA newsletter about one mans experience working on his 2000 Boxster.
I think it is a very good read. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/the-frugal-mechanic-meets-a-porsche-boxster/120457/page1/ |
Not really. He totally lost my interest when he selected a roller bearing and starting beating a "controlled size oil feed" with a piece of pointe metal and a hammer so that he could flood the IMS shaft with oil.

"No LN products! How dare he?!?!" The three amigos will have none of that! :D
Cool read. Thanks for posting  |
I enjoyed that read. Thanks.

Excellent read! Thanks! Really useful.

Looks like another perfectly good dual row bearing replaced with a questionable bearing.

Who is the third amigo? I could guess the first two. |

He lost me when citing the 101 Boxster Projects manual and the 3.4 capacity of the 2000 model Boxster. I wish him the best.
