How to open hood when battery is good
 

I got water on my immobilizer so I have a Boxster that won't start now. I had this problem before - dried the board, reattached everything and it worked. This time my windows won't work, the car won't start and the hood and trunk switches don't work. I was going to open the hood to disconnect the battery to try to reset the immobilizer but can't get it to open. Is there any way to open the hood when the switch is not working but the battery is fine?????

The emergency cable. Do a search for more info. I'm not going to type it out for the 100th time.

Imari, sorry to hear about your continuing trouble. If you are still working on it, here's a trick I figured out working on my first 'flood salvage' Boxster:
Since you already are familiar with the connections to the Central Locking Unit under the seat...
>Disconnect the blue connector and identify pin number 33.
(top row is pins 1-21 bottom row is 22-42)
>Using a 12v power source (battery), momentarily put the negative to ground and the positive to pin #33.
That will directly apply power to the frunk latch mechanism and open the latch.

I get upset when I look at my Boxster and think about having it for just about a year now and not being able to drive it more than a hand full of times...smh. It's such a beautiful vehicle but no one see me in it, lol. Anyway, thanks again and wish me luck!

Just out of curiosity, how come it flooded twice?
I believe after the first time you learned about the drains that needs to be cleaned from now and then.

Place the immobilizer in a zip lock bag!!
