Airbag light reset

I pulled my door airbags out to rebuild my window regulators. I can't reset my airbag light with my... ahem... "eBay diagnostic tool".

Getting a message that pertains to an unresponsive controller, or something like that.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I know others have added a resistor across the terminals of the connector to turn off the light. I want to say it was a 3 ohm resistor but if you have a multi-meter I would check the resistance of the removed airbag and use the corresponding resistor.

Couple of points:

Very few diagnostic tools can turn off an air bag MIL lamp once the car is in fault mode. You need access to a Porsche specific tool to do this.

The resitor trick is not designed to reset a fault MIL, it is to mimic the air bag and prevent it being tripped. Once it is lit, you need the diagnotic tool, the reistor will no longer help you.
