Ticking on low rev acceleration

Hi All, I've just noticed a ticking noise at low revs as I accelerate away. You can hear it fractionally on tick over and you can't hear a thing once you are in the car with the windows up. I've had some explanations saying it could be a leaking exhaust manifold gasket ? Could this be a possibility. ?

Yes, it could be. It could also be a CV joint?

Exhaust leak, but it could also be the gasket that joins the CAT to the manifold. Mine did this, ticking on idle and when I pulled away. Eventually it suddenly got horrendous and I thought the car was misfiring. Took it into a garage and they fixed it for practically nothing by putting a new gasket on. After that the car's been silent.

Hi Guys, sorted out the ticking issue today, took it to the guys who look after the old girl, it appears the exhaust flange weld had given up prior to the manifold. Quick weld and £25 later job done. Thanks for your help guys. Ian
