power steering o-ring showing normal??
 

Can you guys please help me. I removed my intake & plenum to paint them and figure out where some loose vacumm hoses were going.

Well the bad news is that I noticed the line going into the back of the power steering body looks like its pulled out a bit because of a red o-ring showing through the back of the line. This line doesn't seem to want to go into the power steering back. I'm not able to push it in. Is this normal guys?

I feel this line should be pushed into the back so the oring is seated. It just wont push in.

Thanks Woody, Your the perfect guy to ask. I'm sure you have seen quite a bit of these. Here I was trying to push that line in.

The engineer in me ask why the oring. It really doesn't even seat at the end.

NNo problem. It's more of a retainer clip similar to the vacuum hose that connects to the intake and brake reservoir

Thanks man, I got to put this car back together. I decided to pain my fuel rails too.
Wow that's not even an o-ring on there! It sure looked like one. NewArt did you figure out where your leak was?
