ECU Reflash on 2.5L

anybody had their ECU reflashed on a 2.5L and if you have, was it worth it?

In general, aftermarket DME reflashes provide little real improvement, even on highly modified cars with thousands of dollars already in them. The money would be better spent on driver education courses to learn how to get the maximum out of what you already have.

fair enough answer.
I was thinking more in turns of reflashing to raise the red line to 7000rpm to give each gear just a little more leg than a significant hp increase.

Turning even higher than factory rev limits is a bad idea.
