Constant ground in fusebox footwell area

Quick question, could someone tell me which wire is a constant/common ground in the footwell fusebox area? Just wiring some ambient glow lights in the footwell to come on with the sidelights, I know the positive wire I need, but I need a constant negative.

Or could I just ground the negative?

Thanks!

I general ground cables are brown. If you are not shure, use a multi meter.

Just ground the negative. There are some ground / mass points in the car.

Constant ground on any German vehicle is a brown wire. Brown = earth

Ground = Brown.
I recommend using the phone connector under the center console. :cheers:

Interesting, just today I was looking for a convenient ground in order to do the parking brake bypass from the convertible roof module. My top suddenly wouldn't open so I checked the hand brake switch and sure enough...
I clipped it to the steering column bracket temporarily, but I neet to find a good ground terminal.
