Locks dont work on a 2001 boxster?
 

Im looking at buying a 2001 boxster S and it looks great and everything seems nice, except the door locks do not work. The key fob communicates with the car, but doesnt unlock the doors. And the interior door lock buttons do not work either. The seller said it was just the actuators went bad and they are only $50 each, and that should fix the problem. Im no mechanic, and dont wanna buy a project. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Does the fob unlock the trunk and frunk?

The remote goes to sleep if not used for 5 days

I didnt ask him that, but he said it does communicate with the car. How he knows that is beyond me.
