Tiptronic shift knob removal

Scanned everywhere I can. I cannot find how to remove the plastic part from the Tiptronic gear shift so that I can paint it.
Any help would be appreciated. thank you

I did that a few weeks ago. I had to look it up in my service manual. Here's a post that shows what I found in the manual:
