Original Plugs 04SE
Guys..
I want to do a tune up on my new ride and the dealer wont tell me what the original plugs are. He says he only has a part number! and wont walk over to the parts shelf. I want to make sure I get the right heat ranges etc. I have a 04 Boxster Special Edition with a 3.2lt Here are my two questions. 1. What are the correct plugs for this car. 2. Someone said that on the 04 you do not have to change the spark plug tubes. Is this correct? I would like to get all the parts together before I take it apart. Thanks again for all your help to date guys. Bart |
Bosch #FGR7KQC.
Beru #14FGR6KQU or #14FGR7KQU. Tighten to 30Nm, so you need a torque wrench to suit. No spark plug tubes on 2004 engines. |
My 04 S came with the Beru 14FGR7KQU plugs

Thanks Guys for the info.

Swapping them out tomorrow, along with an air filter and serpentine belt. Ran out of patience and daylight, but got the fuel filter replaced this evening no problems. |
Plug # 14FGR7KQU
Does anybody know what the number in the middle (7) means? What does it mean if it is a 6? What does this number represent? Thanks |
Heat range, 6 is colder than 7.
