Engine Case and Head Surfacing

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of putting together a 3.4L, and I'd like to have some machining done, but I can't find much info online. I know the deck heights are very tight on these engines, and I'm not sure if case and head surfacing is permissible at all. Does anyone know the max material that can be removed before running into valve interference issues?

Has nobody done this?

I am not aware of anyone doing this for M96 engines unless they did liners, but then they would have done it back to original specs.

What I have heard is that heads don't generally warp on these engines, therefore this is not a common procedure
