Oh No CEL after AOS replace
Replaced AOS and removed and cleaned TB and tubes.
Warmed car up to 160+ coolant in the driveway. I pulled Filler cap, there was suction but I could get cap off. The car ran rough until I re-tightened the cap as expected Went for a Neighborhood drive. got a few miles and then got Dreaded Blinking CEL and rough running engine. Stopped, Engine idled ok (I was afraid it would die), turned corner to pull over, CEL went out and engine stopped running rough. I had Torque Phone app on so I checked for codes. No posted Faults. I did have Pending faults P0300, P0304, P030# (Odd Cylinder) - cylinder misfires Drove home with some 4000+ RPM runs between stops and car ran fine couple hours later I cleared Pendings, drove 20-30 mins. on some neighborhood, stop and go Hwy and interstate. 6000+ RPM runs Car ran perfect. Checked for any codes, nothing including no Pending codes. The car has been sitting a couple weeks since my last drive and it has been damp. I looked things over last night and no signs of oil anywhere related to the AOS I hope to go for a drive today and see how she behaves |
My guess is that you may have created a vacuum leak when you pulled the throttle body out or in the aos. Double check your work, you may find it. Or it may have just been a fluke or the engine trying to relearn with the throttle body now being clean?
