986 Fabspeed Exhaust Question

I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 2000 Boxster S and wondering if anyone is running Fabspeed's Super Cup exhaust system on the street. I'm intrigued by the lower weight and lower first cost in comparison to their MaxFlow system.

Comments and opinions are requested...

I have it, it's a great exhaust and VERY LOUD! Extremely drony on the highway under 3,000 rpm. Either you deal with the drone or leave it in 5th gear at 3,500 rpm to make it less drony. You also lose torque and hp in the lower rpms but gain it in the upper rpms.

I am running the full Fabspeed Super Cup exhaust (from a Cayman) in my 986 and added a Car Chemistry exhaust insert.

Sounds great, eliminated drone and is now neighborhood friendly... Without the insert, was definitely too loud for daily driving.

Personally, I'd get the bypass pipes fitted to the standard exhaust for a much, much cheaper price and a better sound. It eliminates the stock drone completely so it ends up quieter on the motorway, and much louder when you want it to be. It's ridiculously cheap to do which is the great thing about it.

And if you're worried about weight, then just remove the spare wheel but then again it all depends on what you want to do with your car!
