Thank you for the info. The wire colors and passenger location cut time off of this project for sure :).

In my case I was using XK-Glow LED strips which requires a positive trigger. I used a relay to do this.

Relay pole details are as follows:

86 (Input) - Negative (Brown w/ Yellow Stripe - Porsche sends negative as trigger)
85 - 12v +
87 - 12v +
30 (Output) - Positive Trigger (For me this was the XKGlow trigger wire from the controller)

Worked like a charm.

Hope this helps someone.

Just wanted to add my thanks to those who provided info on this project. I had picked up two LEDs when ordering replacements for the rest of the cars existing bulbs, and managed to get this wired up to the passenger side loom relatively quick.

Footwell Revive!

Revive of old post, but still super useful!
Thanks for previous posters. Finding the correct cables in the harness was super-easy.
I would add one thing...
On the passenger side wiring harness, there are two bundles of cables. One has thicker gauge cables (14-16ga), and one has thinner gauge cables (18-20 ga).

The cables you need are on the bundle with the thinner cables.

Only drawback.....
I now have to better vacuum my floormats, which is difficult in FL with all the dust/leaves, etc...

They even dim down properly.
