Amberectomy question

Just a quick question.

I plan to de-amber the insides of the front indicators with a soldering iron soon, but realised that I'm going to be taking the front lenses off in due time to install projector lenses.

Can I get to the orange film if I take the headlamp front off while I'm in the process of installing projectors? If so, I'll wait as it'll be a whole lot easier. If not, I'll go ahead and do it now.
