986 alarm issue

Hi I am a new porsche 986 owner 2.7 2002 model.

I wanted to remove dash binnacle but when I disconnect battery the alarm goes off I have to re connect put key in ignition d turn to position 2 to stop it
Is there a way of disabling it or do I need to leave key in the ignition and if so in any particular position I an based near Bristol

Any replies would help Thanks

Key in position 1, disconnect battery then remove key. Alarm goes off when battery disconnected as a security measure.

Thanks worked a treat. A lot easier than wiring in the dash led that shows where spoiler is at either up down or in movement up or down
The mollex connector on green plug had so many wires on it adding a further 5 made it very hard to shut. But managed it and all good now.

Thanks for the alarm info.
