Boxster S 986 front anti roll bar/sway bar bushes replace
How easy is it to change the 2 front anti roll bar/sway bar bushes on the front of a 986 lying on your back with the car on axle stands.....is it just remove the 2 studs on either end and the bar falls enough to let you change out the bushes????
Also, any lubricants needed prior to fitting and where? |
It is not hard lying on your back.
There is more you move out of the way to change them Have to remove the underside fairing and un-bolt and slide the bracket for the control are link. Go to Pelican for How to You do need a Torque wrench You should think about doing the drop links at the same time http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1441715141.jpg |
what sort of symptoms were you having? I have a very loud clank/creak doing hard cornering 20+ mph. the end links were bad, so I replaced them, but still have the noise. wondering if it could be the bushings.
